Sensei Green was born and raised in Alaska where he lived for 22 years. As a small child he was shy and easily bullied. At age 7, he was so enamored with the movie “Karate Kid” that he began taking martial arts classes. Karate gave him confidence, a sense of pride, and an ability to learn to socialize and make new friends. It also began a journey which he is humbly grateful for, having made karate history fifteen times and having a positive affect on the lives of many students.
He served in the U.S. Army as a Blackhawk Crewchief, earning soldier of the month and placed 2nd out of 1,000 for soldier of the Brigade while in AIT. His military career began in high school where he was Battalion Commander in JROTC at East Anchorage High School. His school and unit was designated Honor Unit with Distinction, awarded to only one school once every four years.
At age 22 he was featured in Alaska Men Magazine and crowned Mr. Alaska and was featured in Cosmopolitan Magazine in 2000 (page 72) as one of American’s most eligible bachelors, a title he thankfully was able to shed in 2006 when he married his wife who is the one and only Michelle Young who is a world renowned singer and songwriter as well as an artist and
