WELCOME TO CHESTERFIELD JIU-JITSU

Hello, my name is Christopher Charalambous. I started training Jiu Jitsu at the age of 29 in Derbyshire, England. After training for a year, I felt what I learned was not complete and something was missing. After doing some thinking and research, I decided to travel to Miami to learn Jiu-Jitsu from the Valente Brothers. Training with them has changed my life, and opened my mind to the world of Jiu Jitsu and martial arts.

CHESTERFIELD JIU JITSU & THE VALENTE BROTHERS

The Valente Brothers were taught by the late Helio Gracie making them the third generation of the Valente family who were taught under Helio Gracie. They are well known around the world and, are committed to teaching Helio Gracie's modified version of the traditional Japanese Jiu-Jitsu (also known today as Gracie Jiu-Jitsu) strictly as Helio taught. This is purely self defence martial arts for any kind of scenario that requires you to defend yourself. Valente Brothers Style of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu is designed to help the weak & helpless to defend themselves against the much larger & stronger aggressor.

ABOUT OUR SCHOOL

At Chesterfield self defence we utilise the insight that Christopher has been afforded by the Valente brothers. We have developed our own programs to help people deal with real life, violent situations. If you are living in the Derbyshire region, our Jiu-jitsu defence courses can help you to develop the skills to transform yourself body & mind. Sheffield Self-Defence is the only school authorised to teach Valente Brothers'Fighting Foundations Curriculum in Derbyshire and Yorkshire.
